Rue

Where are you life,
I'm searching for you.
Blindness and emptiness,
I'm having to face,
With all that I have,
and much more to do.

Give me your hand,
to help me our way.
Winded and broken,
I came here for you.
With all that I have,
and much more to do.

Here, take my smile,
to allay your woe.
The phantoms will fade,
for I laugh in our throe,
With all that I have,
and much more to do.

You are my hope,
you are my faith.
With you I dream,
and make things complete.
That's all I have,
and nothing else to do.

Well.. I should say I'm flattered to hear that a poem I wrote is good enough to sound like a published song. :) Maybe I should contact a band, to put this to music. ;)

Seriously, I have no idea which song it may sound like. I thought hard and tried relating it to any song I've been listening to recently. But.. no luck. Please do let me know if you recall. :)

And... ;) may I have the honor of knowing your name.

I like the way you keep it simple Ani..
I don't think your poem resembles a song, rather i'd say it Appears to remind one of a song because of its old world charm and an utter simplicity...
it's rhythmic and honest, hence the association... :)

Thanks. :) I haven't written many poems, so its high praise for me. :)
